A quite park between Paignton & Torquay which is part of the South West Coastal Path. This park usually has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere as there’s little to do here. The old facilities that were once here have been removed for some reason or other. Now all that’s here are flowers, shrubbery, trees and the remnants of the old gas works.
Tucked away behind Paignton harbour Fairy Cove is very well sheltered from Southwesterly winds, popular with local families and dog walkers.
If you like views then there are some spectacular ones to see from here across Start Bay and the Dart Estuary #Daymark #Kingswear
One of the few surviving Second World War coastal defence positions with some amazing views and interesting history #kingswear #history #nationaltrust
Meadfoot is peaceful and one of the favourite beaches for locals. You will see plenty of people kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding or just sunning themselves.
Enjoy some amazing views of the bay and learn about the area and history in the visitor center
Set below high sandstone cliffs this sheltered beach is a real suntrap.
A shingle beach hidden behind Living Coasts with easy access and is the closest beach to Torquay town centre. It provides a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
Peaked Tor is a small pebbled cove usually quiet making it a nice place to chill and relax.
This is one of my favourite views in the bay, especially on a clear day
