High above the City is one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and is definitely something that shouldn’t be missed. The architecture, statues, murals and shrines here are nothing short of breathtaking.
Although it may not seem very special upon first glance as you enter the main gate, you look across and see the intricately carved building then you start to think perhaps there’s more to this place than meets the eye. #Temple #ChiangMai #Thailand
This was my favourite activity to do in Thailand. I’ve always wanted to bathe with elephants. I wasn’t interested in riding them, so I made sure I went to a no riding sanctuary. It was made even more pleasurable by the fact they had two baby elephants there at the time, one of which was only 2 days old and was so dam cute. This is something I think everyone should add to their bucket list #Elephants #Chiangmai
Hang out with the locals at Huay Tung Tao Lake, very few tourists know about his place. With a stunning landscape and mountainous backdrop there’s no better place to chill and enjoy a drink and meal with your mates #lake #chiangmai #chillout
The historical city of Chiang Mai is Thailand’s second largest city and still preserves some of the atmosphere of an ancient village alongside its modern urban charm. Be sure to plan extra time here! Lots of people, myself included, plan to stay for just a few days and end up wanting to stay for more! I loved the city, full of culture, friendly locals, incredible food markets, dozens of beautiful temples, a relaxed vibe and beautiful landscapes.
When your in Bangkok then you must experience and feast your eyes upon at least one of the red light districts before departing the Land of Smiles. Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, or Patpong, these streets are some of the most vibrant, seedy, yet interesting stretches of roads and areas in all of Thailand.
The World’s largest Weekend Market with a crazy 15,000 stalls. Literally anything and everything is available at this market, even from the legal to the ‘not so legal’.
Are Unicorns real? Well for most they are a thing of dreams but this place certainly is real – Yep a pink cafe entirely dedicated to the mythical beasts.
Wat Pho (The Temple of the Reclining Buddha) is one of the largest and oldest wats in the city of Bangkok and famed for its giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 metres long and is covered in gold leaf. The temple complex houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. It’ a must see if you’re in the Phra Nakhon District of Bangkok.
