The USS Midway is incredibly well preserved history museum and very Interesting place. Being on a ship of this size is an experience in itself and then you have all the aircraft around to check out as well. The workers are very knowledgeable, you can easily spend hours looking around.

- USS Midway was the United States’ longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, from 1945 to 1992 and Approximately 200,000 sailors served aboard.
- Midway opened as a museum on 7 June 2004.

Opening Hours
- 10 am – 5 pm.
- You can choose a guided or self guided tour.
- Wander the top flight deck and check out all the planes and helicopters.
- Hangar deck with simulators and shop
- Below decks (Can be warm on a sunny day with some low ceilings).

Unconditional Surrender Statue
There is on onboard cafe fantail at the rear of the ship that did a very nice clam chowder, but it had plenty of the usual corn dogs etc.
The museum is berthed at Navy Pier, which has more than 300 parking spaces. It also is within walking distance of public transportation. We drove and easily found a parking space that cost $10.
