This was sent to me by Google as part of the Street View loan program and well lets just say I was disappointed.
It looks well built, seems sturdy has a good hand grip, easy quick release clasps, a great top connection and a bottom thread tripod connector. Google suggested I use this as an extender with the supplied tripod to gain even more height.

While the top of this monopod I am unable to fault, the ball head and clasps were very sturdy, I wasn’t able to say the same about the bottom tripod connection. On only my second outing I set the tripod up screwed the monopod into it and left it to do its thing, for it to only fall over. Lucky it was soft ground, so no damage to the camera. What had happened was the thread on the bottom of the monopod had actually come loose and fallen inside of the monopod itself, i could hear it rattling around as i shook it. Basically they skimped when it came to this bottom thread, like it was an after thought. Its a metal thread screwed into plastic, it’s not going to hold out to much use, as i found out at first hand.
If you only want to use this as a large selfie stick holding it then its great, but if you want to add height to your tripod then i suggest you look elsewhere.
