I bought this to use as a spare for situations I didn’t want to use my main monopod
It looks well built, seems sturdy has a good hand grip, spirit level, easy quick release clasps, top and bottom thread connections.
Type: Monopod
Retractable: Yes
Item weight: 364g (0.8lbs)
Screw Size: 1/4 & 3/8
Min.Height: 53cm (21″)
Max.Height: 170cm (67″)
Max.Load: 4kg (8lbs)
Section Number: 4
While the top of this monopod and clasps are very sturdy, it’s far to big for most 360 cameras with its plate and spirit level which will show up as a huge nadir patch in your images. However even worse I found that the weak bottom connection won’t last you very long at all.
On only my second use I was setting the tripod up screwing in my stand onto the bottom, only for the thread to come loose and fall out. Lucky it happened in my hand and not while it was left stood with the camera, so there was no damage done.
What had happened was the thread on the bottom of the monopod is a seperate part which is just glued and pinched to keep it in place. Another case of adding a bottom thread seemingly as an afterthought.
So basically in short if you’re intending buy this to use as a monopod/tripod for your camera…. DON’T.
