Enjoy a 360 virtual tour of Torre Abbey Sands, together with Corbyn Head Beach is Torquay’s most popular main beach.
Update: 11th June 2020
- Added wishing well 360 image and standard images of beach info
This beach with its stunning sands, views, sunshine together with Corbyn Head Beach make up the main beach for Torquay. Popular with holidaymakers from the surrounding hotels, day visitors and locals. It’s a favourite for families with lots to do not only on the beach but also across the road there’s the Abbey itself with surrounding activities. One downside though is the beach is usually completely covered at high tide, so you’ll have to be aware of the incoming tide.
It is close to the town centre of Torquay which is an easy walk and you can do the Agatha Christie Mile as you go. Very often while the tide is out, near the road bridge you can find the famous sandman creating one of his amazing artworks in the sand.
Torre Abbey sands is located along the seafront between Torquay and Paignton, Devon, UK. Mainly sand, with some rocky sections, the beach is backed by a promenade and a large grassy area known as Torre Abbey Meadows.
