I popped in to see if anything had changed and unfortunately I found they no longer serve any ale on tap 😲 There may have been bottled in the fridge, but apologies I didn’t ask. It just doesn’t taste the same. The Gin selection had dwindled somewhat as well, but there were still a few to choose from. Don’t sit up the top by the dance floor, the smell coming from the nearby toilets was almost eye watering, in fact maybe it’s best not to go in at all. It was always a little on the rough side, but somehow it’s now worse than ever.

Since the change of management they have added a friendlier approach with flowers on tables and adding historical pictures of Paignton on the walls. If you enjoy a gin then you’ll be happy to hear they have increased their selection from 65 to over 100. For a gin they’re not the cheapest in town mind at £8. If a standard lager is your thing then they are the cheapest place, just not for the faint hearted.
