Enjoy a 360 virtual tour of Goodrington Beach with soft, golden red sand and calm shallow water make this a favourite for locals and tourists, especially in the summer.
Update: 19th September 2019
- Added North Beach steam train pass
Its always nice to walk around Goodrington and it’s bigger than you realise, with the Promenade, lakes, beach and shops. Cantina is a great place to stop for a bite and chill with a pint, they do great pizza and often have some live entertainment as well. If not grab yourself an ice cream from the kiosk on the seafront and just wander around.
The beach is split into two, North and South. The line between the two becomes fairly obvious at low tide with the natural rock exposed in the center which splits the beach. The North end beside the promenade is dog friendly, where as on the South side dogs are banned in the summer months. South has supervision during the summer making it much safer for families and at low tide the rock pools are exposed which are great to explore.
The local steam train can also be seen running along the back of south sands beach.
Goodrington Beach is locating in Paignton, Devon, UK. The beach is split into two parts, North Sands (promenade end) is tidal and come high tide the sea will cover the entire beach up to the sea wall. South Sands has a much larger expanse of sand and the sea rarely reaches even over ½ of the beach.
- It is currently awarded the Good Beach Guide and Seaside Awards.
- Sun loungers, parasols, wind breaks and beach huts are all available to rent.
