This is a favourite beach of mine to visit out of season, don’t get me wrong it’s stunning in the summer, it’s just rammed with people mainly because it’s one of the beaches awarded with the blue flag. It does have supervision during the summer making it much safer for families and at low tide the rock pools are exposed which are great to explore. The local steam train can also be seen running along the two viaducts behind the beach.
The South West Coastal Footpath runs through which is ideal for walks to Brixham harbour and Berry Head Nature Reserve, past the idyllic little Elberry Cove or follow the path north towards Paignton and Goodrington and around the beautiful bay.
Broadsands beach is on the coast of Torbay in Devon, UK between Paignton and Brixham. It has beach managers, supervision, warning flags, life buoys, first aid, lost child centre, patrol boat, and toilets. There is also deck chair hire, a promenade, a pitch and putt golf course and a cafe/restaurant. Water sports are available for hire.
